Countries supported by PSN

These are the countries available (officially supported) when signing up for Playstation Network (PSN). The country you choose determines various validation rules for steps in the PSN sign-up process–for example minimum age requirement or valid residental address.

Although it is against the terms and conditions to provide incorrect information, there are guides elsewhere online for signing up with a different country (e.g. creating a US account) to allow you to use the PSN.

Update: I’ve just checked the account registration through PS Store for PC and oddly the list of countries is shorter! If a country listed above has a star/asterisk then it is available when signing up via the online store.

    Even here in Bahrain, I tried buying many games, but Sony doesn’t seem to care of opening a PSN here..!!!  Seriously.

      u can use saudi uae or lebanon and buy network cards specifically for any of these regions and then use them with no worries (network cards will add funds to your account)

    region 2 ( UK region ) is preferable for everything. if your country is not in list then you should go for uk.

      No it would only be redeemable on the US Playstation store i.e. if you had a US PSN account.

    Uhm i am from the philippines and im using an Hong Kong account and i play first person shooting games like mw2 but i cant find the map packs i really need a solution cause i want map packs so badly

    I am from pakistan! There is no PSN here! I mean guyzz it doesnt make sense why all the countries aren’t supported. Atleast just put the names of every country so evry1 can atleast make a PSN account. Now i use an INDIAN account. I dont know what to do with my ps3 if there is no online store. Now can anyone tell me what should v do? What should the ps3 users in countries not listed should do? If SONY has a proper reason why doesnt it answer our question? Why should v buy a ps3 when v cant get all the best features it’s got? Please tell us what to do????

    I use to live at Spain and I make my registration in PS network on that country, then I move to Venezuela and I bought Call of duty from USA after that I bought the maps on line but I did not see the code was wrong and now I spend 16 euros and los my money what can I do

    i live in azerbaijan,baku.there was no my country so i typed russian because i know russian very well.

    then,i went to playstation store to buy some add ons with my full of money credit card.
    when i wanted to confirm my purchase it tells me i cant buy my add ons because the card is made in azerbaijan,but i typed in russia,can you help me PLEEAAASSSEEEE!!!

      If you have a Playstation Network card from Greece then you need to redeem it on a Greek PSN account. You could make a new PSN account do to this.

    This is unfair. Coz I live in Sri Lanka and I am a genuine PS3 fan. I want to use my PS3 the genuine way without resorting to hacks and mods. But I am not given the facility to register with my country so i can pay with my CC and be  genuine. !
