Countries supported by PSN

These are the countries available (officially supported) when signing up for Playstation Network (PSN). The country you choose determines various validation rules for steps in the PSN sign-up process–for example minimum age requirement or valid residental address.

Although it is against the terms and conditions to provide incorrect information, there are guides elsewhere online for signing up with a different country (e.g. creating a US account) to allow you to use the PSN.

it is a myth. i tried searching for it everywhere but i couldn’t find it. I also wanted to buy stuff from the psn store but i couldn’t because i don’t have a credit card, so i can to use my sister’s, but she doesn’t let me because she doesn’t trust these kind of websites. when u create ur entropay card use your real kuwaiti address, not your fake psn account.
    hope this helps.

@Nani: lol calm down. If you wanna help persuade Sony to create a Kuwaiti Store we’ll have to do it without screaming at them with rage.

add me Nasserkun@hotmail.com So we can petition for a Kuwaiti Network Store at Sony.

You have to use this site for the Middle East to email them or phone call them: http://www.sony-mea.com/section/contactus

I’ve sent them a formal complaint. I’d advise you guys not to spam as that won’t amount to anything.

I don’t mean to sound suspicious Inferno, But the email you printscreened has horrible spelling and grammar and doesn’t sound like a Sony official O_o. Though I could be mistaken, as it is Sony Asia, and English is probably not their first language.

na9r: i dont see spelling mistakes
and even so its from sony ME not sony Asia
btw what should i do so u guys believe me ? :S

  24. Na9r

Sony ME? Huh…I was confused as the email was ap.sony, AP stands for Asia Pacific.

Anyways you don’t need to do anything. I contacted sony to confirm what you said, and yeah it’s true. We’ll be getting out PSN store 2009.

hey, is there any other way to be able to purchase things through the PS store if it says that it is not available in your region?

    Reply

  30. Funkytown

If you want to buy from the US store and do not belong in the region, you have 2 options for adding funds to the US store!

1)Entropay – Virtual Credit card, its quite a hassle to setup, and not every1 is eligible to use the service

2)PSN Cards – webstores like gaminglue.com sell PSN cards from a variety of countries, though you have to pay slightly more to top up your wallet, you get your codes quickly, and every1 who can pay through the internet is eligible

Hey Flame, there are recently added countries missing from the list:

    Argentina
    Brazil
    Chile
    Colombia
    Malaysia
    Peru

All of these countries can only be selected in the PSN signup form of the PS3 XMB, I’m pretty sure they don’t have PS Store

I demand that MOROCCO be added by Sony !

    Reply

    • Flame

Hi Cris. Unless you have high-definition (HD) television you need to check if the Taiwan PS3 is NTSC to be compatible with your home TV.

Watching DVD movies could be a problem due to “region codes”. Central America DVDs are region 4 but an Chinese PS3 may only play region 6. Blu-ray movies should be fine as generally they do not use region codes.

I want Ukraine to be added to the list. It is such a big discrimination and Sony needs to be ashamed. Why the FCK Romania is selectable and we are not? Ukraine has over 50 mil population! Are they out of their fcking minds??? PLEASE EVERYONE WHO DON’T HAVE THEIR COUNTRY ON THE LIST EMAIL SONY AND LET’S END THIS BULLSHIT.

Hey, does anybody know the email of high placed Sony employees ? We need to contact Sony Computer Japan and Europe

    Reply

  39. SnoopDop

Here is the email format of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe: firstname_lastname@scee.net for example if you visit http://www.scee.presscentre.com/Content/Detail.asp?ReleaseID=4780&NewsAreaID=2 near the end of the page (Notes to Editors paragraph) you will notice that Nick Caplin the PR of SCEE has an email address in the same format.

David Reeves the previous CEO of SCEE had the same email format but he no longer works for Sony. So if you know someone who works in SCEE especially the Playstation Network you can try contacting them.

If you know the email format of Playstation Japan please tell us.
