Update: I’ve just checked the account registration through PS Store for PC and oddly the list of countries is shorter! If a country listed above has a star/asterisk then it is available when signing up via the online store.
i bought my ps3 in Ireland and have since moved to the UK. When i enter my billing information to buy from ps store I get a message saying the informaation is not correct. it says my country/region is Ireland. i assume this is why i’m having problems. I have looked around to see if there is another way but i think i can only reset the ps3 but dont really want to have to go to that extreme when i’m not even sure if that will fix the problem. Please help me.
Hi barry. Yes it seems to be a common problem. I take it you have not added any funds to your Irish account? You should be able to sign up for a new account (using a different email address) and set your country as UK, and sign-in using that account.
So then i live in Panama city Central America.. so i will not be able to buy through the Online Store? Panama is not there.. how can i do if i live in central america.
Hi Tomas, I presume you’re in Republic of Panama which currently is not a country option on PSN, no. Have a look at Country not available when signing up on our common problems page.

Well my bro live in kentucky and he let me use his credit card but when i try to purchase the music it says the info is invalid.we check 6 times and still says was wrong.Do you a way to fix this? or a work around?

Tomas: Interesting that you mention this, because I had the same problem with my Visa card (I’m in Australia). I tried several times, checked the details carefully, etc. but no success. Then after a couple of weeks I tried again and it worked! Why it didn’t before that I have no idea :/

A question? On the credit card billing address info how do you type the address in there.As you can see it has 3 address space (Address 1 ,Address 2 ,Address 3 ).How did you type your address in there?
Tomas: I only used the first address field (Address 1), I think. You don’t need to fill all those three fields in.
Do you think if i tell my bro to fill out the credit card info in his house that will work? And then i just use the account to download music here in panama.

Nani: That’s correct, you need to use a “US credit card”. There are online services that can provide virtual credit cards. Do a web search for “ps3 entropay”.
Hey flame thanks for the info but there is one more problem! Will the entropay also work if i create a hong kong account i heard some of the stuff in ps store is region locked and america uses NTSC and kuwait (my game is pal) so i am thinking of making a hong kong account. Nani, I haven’t used Entropay myself so I don’t know too much about it. I think the idea of it is it provides a virtual US credit card, so it would probably work on the HK Playstation Store (but then again, any normal card may work too). Paypal does not work on PS Store.
The PS Store itself is not region locked, only the new movie rental service is locked to US IP addresses.
Do you have the US version of COD4 or another version? You may need to do a little more research that the COD4 map pack from the US store will work with your copy. I think normally it would not be a problem but because it is an online game there may be issues.

Thanks very much. that seems to work and i dont know i bought it from kuwAit which is pal so i think hong kong is pal too so variety map pack should work. or what does matter? is there any difference between american pal game and japenes pal game? anyway i dont think that mine is not pal. and again there are different kinds of pals and i found out that hong kong is the best store for me. currently entropay is saying that they are going through essential maintainess so i ll try later at night maybe. thanks for the help bro!
I live in kuwait too and i can’t buy stuff from my US psn acc because my credit card is not from the US. i want to use entropay but i don’t know how secure it is. because it’s not actually my credit card it’s my mother’s, and she doesn’t trust every site. can some1 please help me and find out how secure entropay is?
Hey Jafar Entropay is safe i also used entropay to buy variety map pack for cod4 and everything was fine. entropay is a famous company and you really think that entropay would rob you? it is something which is very commomly used to buy online like paypal so i think its absolutely safe. hope this helps.

Hey Nani, I live in Panama and have been trying desperately to get dlc from psn. I created an entropay account and when I try to put the info on my ps3 I keep getting a message ‘the credit card info is not valid’ I don’t know if new patch 2.42 prevents the use of the virtual card or don’t know if i’m doing something wrong.
Your help will be truly appreciated.
Also what did you put on cardholders name? entropay user???
Hey Gabof4, ok so do you have a psn account which is supported by sony i mean can you access the psn store? if no then create an account selecting a country listed above which has a star next to it. if you already have the created the right psn account no nned to create a new one. so here is what is asked when adding funds to your psn account.
card number the number you got for the entopay card
in cardholders name type the entropay username should be exactly the same
enter 3 digit security number or cvv it called i think and the expiry date of you entropay card hope this helps.
if it still doesnt work give me you e mail address and i will tell you detail how to do it.
Thanks for the reply Nani, yes I do have a us psn account and I can access the psn store however whenever I try to add funds through the entropay card I keep getting the ‘wrong card details’ message. I honestly don’t know if I’m putting some wrong info (I don’t think that’s the case) or if it has something to do with the 2.42 update which doesn’t allow the use of entropay card.

I’m wondering if i set my Country as Kuwait (which is where i live) would the PS3 Network Store be available for me to Buy/Download games and stuff? Or is it US only?
Nevermind my question, i found out in the hard way, now i can’t use my Name (dammit), But my friend told me you can create another account (a US one) then you can access/buy from PSN Store with that account and play with your Kuwait Account, is that true?
Eltimas. i also live in kuwait and i am having the same problem. you can create a US account and download themes and trailers and such… but you cannot download full games that require payment. if you want to do that you’ll need a pre-paid card. people are recommending Entropay, but i don’t want to have the same problem as Gabof4. if you know Rihab in Hawally, they say there are pre-paid cards there. hope this helps

Hey guys, I’m also living in Kuwait but I’ve yet to have my internet set up but wanted to know beforehand. I just moved from new zealand where I first registered my account (The_mizman) and wanted to know if there is anyway I can switch my address and my country on my profile? (if that makes sense)
Also, I think we should call Sony and request they open up a PS store in Kuwait, I mean our neighbors have it, why can’t we? Right? It can’t be that hard.
I live in south america and non of the countrys in south america appear on the list of the countrys to sign up for the network. How can i do to sign up?
I was able to download a demo from the PSN store, but when i try to install the demo an error happens. i thought this was normal, so i downloaded it again. the same error happened. i downloaded it four times and it didn’t work. error 8002564. can any1 offer advice as to how to fix this problem? don’t tell me to not download the demo/game in the background because i already tried that.
