AdvancedOnline ID can not be used
The phrase “The online ID you entered cannot be used” is very common when you are trying to sign up for a Playstation Network account. It may be because the ID you want does not meet the rules or simply that it is already taken by someone else.
You will need to choose another ID. Suggestions:
- Try adding numbers e.g. billy888
- Try adding hyphens (-) or underscores (_) e.g. billy_the-kid
- Does your ID contain words? Some words/terms are not allowed e.g. “PS3″
Profile name
The online ID (profile name) that you choose when signing up for a Playstation Network account gets locked in. There is no facility to edit/change the ID. So pick one you are not going to regret 
Profile avatar
It’s possible to change your PSN avatar, but the images are restricted to those provided by Sony. It’s not currently possible to use your own image; we assume this is to prevent “improper” avatars.

Country not available when signing up
If your country is not available as an option when signing up to Playstation Network (see list of supported countries) then you are out of luck. However, if you are willing to go against the terms and conditions–which tell you not to provide incorrect details–then it is possible to sign up using details that are valid for another country (e.g. United States). Search online to find more information.
Communication with the server
Sometimes you may get these errors:
An error occurred during communication with the server.
This is a DNS error.
(8002AE1D)
An error occurred during communication with the server.
This is a DNS error.
(8002AF02)
(Signing into PSN account)
An error occurred during communication with the server.

It seems to only happen occasionally and most likely due to the PSN servers having some temporary glitches. Try again, but if the problem persists you may need to come back later.
i have a UK PSN account and my PS is PAL ver. every time a try to download a movie from the store, this message appears (this content can not be accessed on this account). any idea what does it mean?
Same error message but with USA account.

Why can’t I invite anyone to play me on MADDEN 10? Every time I try to invite someone it says ” There is a communication restriction”. I can’t find any reason why it would say that because my brother signed in and was able to invite anyone he wanted to.
It could be to do whith perental controll restrictions because of a raiting like 15+ or something

if ur trying to connect with a router, make sure all internet browsers are closed then unplug the modem and the router for 15 seconds. plug them both back in and wait for the internet to connect. restart ur computer and it should be fine. if not, call ur internet provider and they can send a signal to ur modem to make sure u dont need an update or something.if ur trying to connect directly than u might need a new modem

ye ring up ps3 and they will help they havnt been able 2 fix it yet but theres heaps of stuff they try. Check if u hav been capped by your internet provider first.
psn registration will not accept my Canadian residential address. I’ve tried several “valid” address and still get error message. Since we selected Canada earlier in process it asks for postal code etc but still no luck. And Canada is listed as a country that PSN supports.
Please help if you can!

I have the PSN thing telling me that their is an error (80710B23) and so its not letting me to do as i do best (play cod 6) PLESE HELP

If you live in newfoundland there’s a problem with recognition of our addresses.
i got the work around from Sony…you have to “lie” and put your hometown as Whitby,ON and your postal code as L1N 5V8. Hope this helps It worked for me. The only problem is that you will not be able to pay by Credit Card as the credit card address must be the same as the Mailing address/ You will have to purchase the prepaid cards at Wal-Mart or Amazon.com

i have the exact sam problem with my ps3 slim with the residential address but i geuss the **** faces on the this page are to stupid to even get the things they develop or just dont give a ****
PSN error code 80710B23. looked it up and it generally means the servers are too busy, or there’s a problem with my router. i’ve tried playing with the router, but that doesn’t work. Had this for about 16 hours or so, and i’ve tried signing into the PSN every couple of hours. The internet is working on my ps3 though!! Anyone have any suggestions?
I think my PS3 is banned from PSN use. My brother hacked someone and they called SONY on my brother. Is my PS3 banned or what? I can’t even log into my account on my PS3. I can log on with my computer only.

i recently bought a used ps3 it had an account on it at time of purchase, before i use my card, i wanted to delete out the old psn. account! i restored the system to defaults, and it says you cant another name on this account!!!!!

How do I retrieve my email address and password i used to make an account. It has been on auto log-in for so long i forgot the info. Now someone turned auto log in off and i can’t sign in.
Try going to the forgot password thing, email address is something you should know if you have an email account.
My husband plays RE5 on PSN. When you are looking for a game to join, next to the players PSN ID is a picture of the country flag of the player. Some players have game logos instead. Does anyone know how to change from the country flag to another pic or logo?

i have that problem too 8001050F, and i cant play white knight chronicle without it as i think it needs to download the game trophies. everytime i start the game now it just says unable to load trophies, press the PS button to quit. HELP!

what is going on with the playstatin network and systems. are they all crashing. i cant even play modern warfare 2. its saying something about the trophys too. they need to fix the problem quick or they are ging to have alot of angery people.
i had similar problems this mornig and heard on the radio that sony are aware of the problem and trying to resole it. it has happened to most ps3 users, so dont worry every1 is suffering the same problem. just keep tring through the day.
Regarding error 8001050F: there is a
worldwide mystery bug for older PS3s. Sony are working on it. Check the official PS blog for more info.

My boyfriend and son were making an online account and in the mix up of one telling the other the email address he 4got the #’s on the address.. So they tried 2 make an email account with the one online and it’s taken… So now they’re online account email address is not they’re email.. What do they do? Because they want 2 keep their ID name…we tried 2 delete the whole thing but now we can’t even sign in… Please help!!
